Caron hand-dyed threads all multi-colored. One skein can include from two to seven different colors. You can achieve interesting effects by using several types of threads of the same shade in one job.
Painted by hand and in small batches. Each batch is unique - MAY DIFFER from previous batches and color cards. Different dyes are used for different types of yarn. The chemical structure of wool, silk, cotton and man-made fibers is different, and they react differently to specific types of dyes. Therefore, a dye that is intended for wool may not color the cotton.
It is best to test threads before running. Dampen a piece of thread and place it on a paper towel. If the finished embroidery is to be finished with a steam iron, iron the thread on a towel. If any color has stained the towel, wash the skein in warm soapy water. Please note that the detergent must be mild and fragrance-free. Dry naturally after washing and rinsing.
If, when washing the finished work, the threads shed, rinse it in a large amount of cold, cool or slightly warm water (without soap) several times until all excess color has disappeared. Do not add vinegar, salt, or any other substance to the water. Salt or vinegar will not affect light fastness, but it may damage the yarn.
NEVER USE CHLORINE-CONTAINED BLEACH. Soap or detergents must be soft, no fragrances. Avoid sudden changes in temperature - rapid changes from very cold to very hot water or steam.
If the work requires several skeins of the same shades, it is better to purchase the whole quantity at once in order to avoid discrepancies in the parties. If in the process of work it turns out that not enough threads have been purchased, use threads from different parties in turn, so the difference between them will not be so noticeable.
