Sampler from the pattern series ”Summer Garden", which includes 4 variants of the color scheme (see photo):

All schemes have their own characteristics, some of their elements are not repeated.
Each variant contains 2 schemes of different levels of difficulty: a full cross and a cross + petite.
Also, there are decorative (spetial) stitches in each pattern. In the PDF chart, there is a link to video instructions for them.

Difficulty levels:
❖ High “Petite” (left) — 37,077 stitches, including petites, full crosses, backstitch, special stitches, and french knots.
❖ Low “Cross stitch” (right) — 23,377 stitches, including full crosses, 3⁄4 cross, backstitch, special stitches, and french knots.
You can select elements from both difficulty levels, creating your own Summer garden.

Recommended fabric:
In this case, the choice of fabric was easy and difficult at the same time because all light colors fit the design — from white to sandy. I chose two options that will be comfortable enough for stitching petites:

❖ Vanilla Lugana 25 ct Zweigart (3835/274)

❖ Cream Cashel 28 ct. Zweigart (3281/222)

***I do not recommend using Aida-type fabrics due to the presence in the pattern of decorative stitches made through 1 thread of fabric interweaving.

Threads:

❖ 21 colors of DMC: 350, 351, 352, 353, 355, 356, 500(3-4), 501(2-3), 502(2-3), 503(2), 580, 581, 730 , 733, 734, 758, 935(2), 3778, 3820, 3821, 3822;

❖ Thread costs depend on the selected count and the level of complexity of the selected elements;

❖ Alternative threads options, adapted from own stocks, provided by the link https://drive.google.com/drive/ Key in Soi d'Alger selected by color card;

❖ Please note that the costs of thread are indicated based on the calculation of the execution of crosses and petits in 2 ply. If they are performed in 3 ply, it is worth multiplying the costs by a factor of 1.5. The execution of decorative stitches is counted in 2 ply, but this will depend on the selected count and type of thread.

Other materials. The key is provided in the DMC threads, but I would advise adding a highlight to the sampler:

❖ Having completely or partially replaced some solid DMC threads with Multiclicolor, Coloris or dye-threads;

❖ Having chosen satin, silk, metallized threads, Pearle or Iris type threads, or other interesting threads that you have long wanted to try;

❖ Add beads, charms, treasures, buttons, or other sewing elements to the materials.
